Vellore: 130 km from Madras Central Stn on the Madras-Bangalore broadgauge Rly there is Katpadi Stn. A metre gauge branch line will take you to Vejlore town (9 km) and VelloreCantt (10 km). From Katpadi exp trains run to Madras in 2 hr, to Bangalore in 4 hr. From Katpadi rly stn buses, taxis, aiitos go to Vellore city. It would be wiser to take a bus which will take you there in 15 mins. From Vellore Cantt there are Exp and passenger trains to Tirupati 104, Tiruvanna-, malai 84, Villupuram 152 km.
