Saiha
Saiha, 388 km south of Aizawl, is a day's journey by bus. The last lap of the journey ends by a ferry / boat as one has to cross Chhimptuipui River to reach Saiha. Forty-five km from Saiha tucked away in the mountains, lake Palak is said to be the home of a mythical serpent wearing a ruby crown. With its picturesque landscape and a number of streams, the area is an ideal destination for hiking, angling etc.
The state is also home to many Wildlife Sanctuary and National Parks. Phawngpui National Park, Murlen National Park, Ngenpui Wildlife Sanctuary, Lengteng Wildlife Sanctuary, Tawi Wildlife Sanctuary, Palak Wildlife Sanctuary and Dampa Tiger Reserve are the places which attracts all wildlife lovers.
