Koraput: Nature-lovers will love Koraput lying next to Dandakaranya at a height of 2990 ft. This largest district in Orissa, the homeland of tribals, abounds with wild flowers and birds and beasts. This is picturesque, quiet and untroubled land, far from the madding crowd where at night the tribal drumbeats sound a soothing lullaby. Located between Andhra and MP, the district headquarters are also at Koraput which is rich in mineral wealth. The administrative HQ of Dandakaranya refugee rehabilitation is at Koraput. On a low hillock is Jagannath temple.
